Flush Mounted Mini Magnetic Reed Switch Sensor
Production Description
Operating Principle
- Open State: When no magnet is near the reed switch, the metal reeds are apart, creating an open circuit.
- Closed State: When a magnet is brought close to the reed switch, the magnetic field causes the reeds to come together, closing the circuit and allowing current to pass through.
Components
Reed Switch: The main component consisting of two ferromagnetic blades (reeds) hermetically sealed in a glass envelope.
Magnet: The external component that actuates the switch.
Types
Normally Open (NO): The switch remains open until a magnetic field is applied.
Normally Closed (NC): The switch remains closed until a magnetic field is applied.
Changeover: A three-terminal device where one terminal is common, and the other two terminals switch between normally closed and normally open states.
