Car level sensor for automotive application is liquid & fluid level sensor that monitors water or liquid levels inside your automotive and sends feedback to a controller, causing it to automatically start or stop operation based on the level. In the Automotive Industry, liquid level sensors are used to detect the volume of fuel left in the fuel tank, the level of brake fluid, coolant level in the water tank, washer fluid level in the windshield washer reservoir and the urea level in the adblue tank and so on. You can also intergrate temperature, pressure and flow sensors to control liquid temperature, pressure and flow to avoid over temperature, over pressure and over flow. You should attach great attention to the liquid level sensor and pressure sensor, flow sensor and temperature sensor for automotive vehicle application.

A coolant level sensor is used to detect and control if critical coolant fluid exists inside a coolant system. It is an on radiator protection device and is used to monitor the coolant level in the engine cooling system. Normally screwed into the radiator header tank, it has two states, either open or closed.The use of coolant fluid level sensors extends equipment uptime and the equipment life, and ensures the proper operation.

As part of the DEF sending unit, the DEF level sensor measures the level of fluid remaining in the DEF tank. When the DEF liquid level is low, the DEF fluid sensor sends a signal to the vehicle's ECU and it will trigger the warning light on the gauges or panel to the driver in a visual (gauge) or audible alert. And it will give you advance warning of those that require replenishment in the near future.
In terms of damage, low DEF levels will trigger a decrease in engine performance. Also, the use of improper fluid will trigger a decrease in engine performance.
The ability to detect if AdBlue exists in the adblue storage tank is therefore critical to SCR system performance and compliance. The adBlue level sensors or urea level sensor detects the level of fluid in the urea tank and relay the information to the ECU.

A typical windshield washer reservoir fluid level sensor is a magnetically operated switch called "reed switch." It's mounted at the bottom of the windshield washer fluid tank. The washer level sensor consists of a cylinder casing with a magnetic float inside and the reed switch is built into the base of the sensor. We use washer fluid level sensors to determine when washer fluid is getting low. The washer fluid level switches employ floats that move up and down with the fluid surface and use position sensors to produce an output relating to the position of the float.
When the washer fluid level drops beyond the minimum mark, the float sinks to the bottom of the reservoir and the magnet activates the reed switch. The reed switch closes the circuit and the "Low washer fluid level" warning light comes on. In some cars, the sensor works in reverse: it opens when the fluid level drops.

When you apply your foot to the brake pedal, it is taken for granted that the braking mechanism will begin to slow or stop the vehicle. A hermetically sealed reed switch plays a key reliable role in monitoring the brake fluid level is maintained at its proper level, preventing a loss of the vehicle’s braking system.
On general, the brake fluid level switch is submerged or floats in your automotive’s brake fluid and senses when the floats drops below a certain safe level. At this point, the brake fluid sensor then sends a signal to your vehicle’s dashboard and a light will indicate that your brake fluid is short.

 

The car fuel level sensors are mechanically connected to a magnetic NBR float and it moves up or down depending on the fuel liquid level. As the float moves, the resistance of the car fuel level sensor changes, and the position of the needle changes proportional to the current flowing in the coil
